Now that spring is in full swing here in the South, I wanted to give visitors to my website a peak inside my gardening book. It is chock full of ideas, gorgeous photos, and easy to follow design illustrations for you to try in your garden this year. I’ve written this book for those new to gardening, and also for those that want to learn a bit more about how to combine plants together to create a flower tapestry rich with color. Enjoy!
The book includes ten design templates, such as the one above, so that you can see exactly where each plant type should be placed in the flower bed. These are accompanied by detailed instructions to help you understand the how and why behind each design choice. These templates are designed to be adapted to your own garden space, whether you’re planting a small area or a large border. If you’re an experienced gardener, these templates can be used as a jumping off point for your own creations. I’ve also included color-coded plant lists to give you even more ideas for using annuals, perennials, flowering shrubs, and bulbs in your garden spaces.
